The 2009 A/E Marketing Now Summit

So I've received my first speaking engagement in the new media space. Over the years I've done quite a bit of public speaking, but this one is different!

 I'm so excited, PUMPED, and overall energized to educate, enlighten, and motivate people to jump into this "new" media. It just seems such a natural fit, especially because I love people and building things and this conference is ALL about that.

 Wanted to attach the brochure for the conference in case any of you would be able to attend, or will be in the area and want to meet up.

 Thinking about throwing a meetup while I'm in town on Thursday night. Let me know if you'll be up for it.

 Oh yeah, the conference is in San Francisco, California.

Konstructr gets media mention worthy of conversation

So yesterday I get an instant message from my friend Stephen in New York. 
 
Stephen: holy shit vik
me: ?
Stephen: konstructr is on the real deal
Stephen:

me: o slick! is this a big thing? i've never heard of this site.
Stephen: in NYC yes
 
So why is this worthy of conversation? Because the game is effectively
changing in every way. The KCast podcast and the Konstructr Pros only
launched at the beginning of 2009 (3 months ago). And because of the great
content (not marketing) Konstructr has now been mentioned along side the
long standing heavy hitters like the:
 
-New York Daily News
-New York Times
-Wall Street Journal
-New York Observer
-New York Post
 
It not about the new eyeballs & ears that hit Konstructr for the first
time, but the fact that we've made a small impact in the real estate
space.
 
The upcoming website and new features will only help solidify Konstructr's
place online.
 
For this, however, thanks goes to the Konstructicons for creating an
incredibly powerful network, readers of the Konstructr Pros, and listeners
of KCast.

Introducing the Konstructr Blog

 

Konstructr

Hello my name is Vik Duggal and I'm the founder of Konstructr - an online construction property. Over the last couple months enough interest has been expressed in what I'm doing that I decided to launch a blog for Konstructr. Here I will discuss what's happening and what's coming up!

So let's start. Konstructr is the largest online construction property purely focused on the best in design and efficient construction. It is firmly rooted in ideas, people, and projects. These three areas all happen to be the most crucial pieces of the construction world. The site will provide its own multimedia content (audio, video, text) and aggregate the "best" construction content, promote the "best" people, and highlight the "best" projects.

The community has been up in some capacity since June 2007.
I launched KCast - the audio podcast - in January 2008. At that same time I received some great help from:

These three currently make up the Konstructr Pros who actively write content for the Magazine discussed above. All I can say is that these three write some pretty amazing stuff and definitely expect this area of Konstructr to grow.

Over this weekend I've been hard at work determining the future of Konstructr. From everything I see the future looks incredibly bright! Soon I will be launching a new website with help from our amazing web development team BLUETUX (http://www.bluetux.com).

So I just wanted to introduce everything and say hello. If you have any questions just ask. I will definitely at some point get into the why I decided to do this, what's the point, and other cool things coming from Konstructr. Please stay tuned..
